Yuffie Belmont

Yuffie was the precocious only child of the Belmont's second generation. Born after her parents saved Strangerville from The Mother, her early years were relatively peaceful. Sporty and a bit of a tomboy, she did well in school and scouts. Her only flaw was a penchant for lifting things that didn't belong to her. She joined the military to support herself through university, which is where she met her soul mate, the aspiring criminal Lilith Pleasant. When Lilith's career took a compromising turn, they both returned to Forgotten Hollow to focus on their growing family. Later in life Yuffie struggled with workaholism. Over the years, her initially-exciting career as an interstellar smugger began to weigh on her. Having three kids to care for made the danger seem much less romantic, and she enjoyed the days spent tinkering with the ship more than the nights spent roaming the cosmos. Still uncertain, she quit her job and moved to Willow Creek, where she experimented with hobbies while Lilith worked to build Belmont Studio. It was then, struggling with a midlife crisis, that Yuffie discovered the passion she'd been searching for. She returned to university, completed a Fine Arts degree, and began her new career as a painter. After Lilith's passing, Yuffie and Kasumi remodeled Belmont Studio into a painting school and gallery for family creations (although they kept its shady reputation intact to honor the business' founder).
